# DERP

> Dunsky documentation for DERP: find model guidance, source references, and the right tools for your work.

DERP is Dunsky’s Distributed Energy Resources Potential model. Use DERP for distributed energy resource potential analysis. Its implementation is maintained as the `derp` package within `packages`; the cloud platform provides a DER Potential workflow.

## Use the model

For browser-based execution, open [models.dunsky.com](https://models.dunsky.com) and follow the [platform run guide](https://docs.models.dunsky.com/quickstart.md).

For local execution, start with the [package README](https://github.com/dunsky-consulting/packages/blob/trunk/derp/README.md). It documents the environment and installation steps; repository access is required.

After installing and configuring the package, its documented entry point is:

```bash theme={null}
derp --help
```

## Model notes

The package README provides installation and development instructions. Use `derp --help` to inspect the installed version’s command-line interface.
