# LDM

> Dunsky documentation for LDM: find model guidance, source references, and the right tools for your work.

The Locational Disaggregation Module takes regional forecasts from EVA, SAM, or HEAT and disaggregates them into subregions. Use LDM when an analysis needs locational forecasts that add up to the original regional forecast. The package is maintained under `packages/ldm`.

## Use the model

For local execution, start with the [package README](https://github.com/dunsky-consulting/packages/blob/trunk/ldm/README.md). It documents the environment and installation steps; repository access is required.

After installing and configuring the package, its documented entry point is:

```bash theme={null}
ldm
```

## Model notes

### Consistency check

The package description states that subregional forecasts add up to the regional forecast. When reviewing an analysis, verify the aggregation against the original regional series using the same years and units.

The README documents Python 3.14 and local execution through `ldm`. Consult it for the expected input files and environment setup.
